CHIBWE TO MISS BANKERS OUTING AS OTIENO RETURNS

Zambian Super League giants, ZESCO United will be without South African born shot stopper Cyril Chibwe when the Ndola based league outfit faceoff against Zanaco in tomorrow’s week twelve fixture set for Sunset stadium, Lusaka.

Chibwe who seemed to have taken command of the ZESCO United goalkeeping position has been ruled out of tomorrows mouthwatering fixture due to a knee injury sustained during last weekend’s match against Buildcon.

Meanwhile Kenyan international shot stopper Ian Otieno makes a return to the squad since ZESCO United’s early elimination from the CAF Confederations Cup and will be deputized by U-20 National Team goalkeeper, Levison Banda.

ZESCO United currently sit in fifth position with seventeen points, two wins shy of catching up with league leaders and last years winners Red Arrows who have twenty-two points from eleven matches.

Zanaco on the other hand are five places behind ZESCO United with only two points separating the two teams.

Both ZESCO United and Zanaco will be hoping to build on last weekend’s victories which saw the Ndola based league outfit beat Buildcon 3-2 while the bankers defeated Napsa Stars 2-1.

ZESCO United acting head coach, Alfred Lupiya will be keen to overturn past results which have seen his side struggle to pinch three points at Sunset stadium.

In their last three meetings, Zanaco has beaten ZESCO United twice with the last encounter ending in 1-1 draw.
