WE ARE NOT SLEEPING: MULENGA CONFIRMS ZESCO’S TRANSFER ACTIVITIES

It’s that time of the year once again when football clubs around the world go in search of the best players to strengthen their squads.

Zambian Super League giants, ZESCO United are not leaving any stone unturned in their quest to rekindle the club’s glory years.

Having abdicated the throne as the nation’s Super League ‘Big Boys’, TeamYaziko are not wasting any time in their quest to reclaim what for a number of years had perpetually become a ritual, winning the FAZ/MTN Super League title.

ZESCO United Football Club, Chief Executive Officer, Richard Mulenga has assured the club’s supporters that the club will be adding new faces to the squad in readiness for the 2020/2021 FAZ/MTN Super League season.

“We recognise that our team needs renewal, so we are busy speaking to other clubs in Zambia and one or two outside the country. In fact, I can say that we have closed three deals currently but we are still working on another two or three.

The club will be unveiling our new signings in the coming days and weeks,” Mulenga disclosed.

ZESCO United finished fifth in the 2019/2020 FAZ/MTN Super League season, losing the title to Nkana and missing out on both the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederations.
